Carman Burger Week has five restaurants vying for top hamburger

Five Carman restaurants are participating in the annual Burger Week competition this year, with an assortment of mouth watering burgers featuring hickory sticks, sauteed mushrooms and BBQ  sauces.

“Five local restaurants have created mouth watering masterpieces for your tastebud’s pleasure,” said Jodi Winkler of the Carman and Community Chamber of Commerce. 

Voting closes this Sunday, Sept. 29. Patrons are encouraged to try all the burgers and vote for their favourites.

Five feature burgers:

Boyne River Bistro Wagyu Wellington  Burger – Two juicy, 3oz Wagyu smash patties with seasoned sauteed mushrooms, prosciutto, dijon mayo, swiss cheese and bourbon BBQ sauce.

Breakaway Family Restaurant’s Italian Burger – made with their homemade burger patty Italian sausage, salami, roasted red pepper sauce and homemade coleslaw topped with mozzarella cheese served with homemade french fries.

Syl’sBeef Benny  – 4H burger/egg patty topped with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, bacon and hollandaise sauce on a kaiser bun. 

Carman Golf Course’s Crispy CHK Zinger  – Crispy chicken on a bed of creamy coleslaw and sliced pickles,, toppes with sweet chili sauce an crispy onions.

Chicken Chef’s Ultimate BBQ Burger – The signature Chicken Chef beef burger with forty creek BBQ sauce, swiss cheese, grilled peppers and onions and homemade hickory sticks piled high on top.
