Midland MLA Lauren Stone recognized retired Carman-Dufferin Fire Department member Martin Dewit on March 17, honouring his 35 years of service during a Private Members’ Statement. Dewit, who spent much of his time as the department’s public education officer, was presented with a certificate in appreciation of his dedication and impact on the community. Pictured with Dewit are MLA Stone and Carman-Dufferin deputy fire chief Joey McElroy. McElroy also presented district coins to Stone.
