Walinga Inc, exec elected to North American board for equipment manufacturers

Cor Lodder of Carman was unanimously elected to the Board of Directors of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA) during the Marketing & Distribution Convention held in Kansas City on Nov. 1.

Lodder joins a 16-member governing board for the Association, which acts as a collective voice, advocate, and resource for businesses across the farm implement supply chain. This includes manufacturers, providers of component parts and services to those manufacturers, and equipment marketers.

Lodder, who holds the positions of Corporate Director and Chief Quality Officer at Walinga Inc’s Carman Machining Division, has been an integral part of the company for 46 years. He has experience in various departments such as welding & fabricating, machining, high tech manufacturing, automation, purchasing, and materials management.  

In the late 1980s, he led an effort as G2, to bring CNC manufacturing into the Walinga operation, and now enjoying the energy of G3 as they continue to embrace new technologies, processes, and digital manufacturing. 

During his time at Conestoga College (1981-1984), Lodder earned his Red Seal as a General Machinist. Now residing in Manitoba with his wife Janine, whom he has been married to for 44 years, he is a proud parent of seven and grandparent of 20. Apart from his family commitments, he remains actively involved in the community, holding positions on various organizations such as the Carman & Community Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Reformed Church Council, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters CME consortium group, and Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada Board.
