The Argyle Curling Club held its annual Senior Bonspiel Jan. 27–28, concluding with a unique final that pitted a women’s team against a men’s team. Left, Stonewall’s Team Arlene Deprez claimed the championship, with Argyle Curling Club president Lyle Appleyard presenting the trophy to Arlene Deprez, Brenda Woods, Phyllis Klimpke and Heather Martin. Right, runner-up honours went to Team Bob McKenzie of Argyle, with Appleyard presenting the winnings to Gerry Martin, Bob McKenzie, Bill Rossington and Don Adamko. Donna Taplin and Lori Sinclair were the grocery hamper winners during the bonspiel.
