St. Laurent Light Up Our Town Contest returns Dec. 13

Date:

Get ready to light up the night with St. Laurent’s annual Light Up Our Town contest on Dec. 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Hosted by the St. Laurent and District Recreation Commission, residents are invited to register their decorated properties for a chance to win one of three gift card prizes from a local business within the municipality.

Recreation director Tammy Hiebert says the event is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season.

“We are looking forward to bringing this festive event to the community, as Christmas is a time to come together and foster community spirit,” she said. “This event has built a sense of connection among our community and has become a cherished tradition that brings joy during the holiday season.”

Hiebert added that the contest was created to inspire a cheerful, unified atmosphere and encourage social connection among both residents and visitors. “

The event has been well received in our municipality, so we continue to host it.”

All registered participants will be entered into a random draw for $100, $75 or $50 gift card prizes. Hiebert noted that taking part is simple.

“Community members show their Christmas spirit by decorating their properties with Christmas lights.”

To register, property owners must email rec@rmstlaurent.com by Dec. 8.
