Town of Teulon accepting applications for seasonal summer positions

Do you know a student who is seeking work over the summer? 

The Town of Teulon is hiring for seasonal employment in recreation and public works. 

Work is expected to begin in late June and last throughout the peak summer season. 

Tasks could include participating on field crews, ensuring facilities are clean and safe, landscaping, assisting in campground upkeep, and setting up and taking down equipment for events.

More information is available on the town website at teulon.ca. The postings will remain open until they’re filled.

In other council news:

• Council tabled a resolution to purchase two double-sided signs and two single-sided signs for the park trail expansion at a cost of $10,807.09. 

• Coun. Michael Hepples stepped down as council representative for the South Interlake Regional Library. Council appointed Coun. Glenn Kletke as the new representative.  

• Council approved an $11,900 quote from Dillon Consulting Ltd. for a lagoon capacity assessment study. The quote also has a $4,000 upset limit, which is a maximum cap on total costs, for any additional work. 

• Council approved an $845 quote from ABC Fire for annual fire extinguisher inspections at town facilities. 

• The Town of Teulon will take out a quarter-page ad in the 2026 Interlake Travel Guide at a cost of $425 plus tax. The travel guide, which is produced by the Interlake Tourism Association, has a distribution of 10,000 copies. 

• Council will sponsor the rental free for a bingo fundraiser for the Canada Day committee. The event will take place at the Teulon-Rockwood Centennial Centre on March 24 from 6 to 10 p.m.
