Historic photos featured in museum’s 2026 calendar fundraiser

Date:

The Dufferin Historical Museum is turning the page back in time with a special fundraiser — the release of its 2026 Calendar of Memories.

Co-ordinator and museum director Dennis Young spent weeks compiling 13 months of historic Carman and Dufferin photographs and dates designed to jog memories and showcase the museum’s collection of artifacts.

The project marks the first time in 25 years the museum has produced a calendar, the last being for Homecoming 2000. Then, as now, the calendar served a dual purpose: a practical way to mark the days and a meaningful gift for former residents living away from home.

Interest in the project has already been strong. More than 300 calendars have been spoken for even before the first copies roll off the press, the museum board reported.

Calendars are selling for $10 and are available at local businesses including Carman Ford, Janzen GMC and Toews Printing. The museum board extended thanks to those businesses for partnering in the effort.

Copies can also be purchased through museum board members, with contact information available on the website dufferinhistoricalmuseum.com.
