Bird Lodge Farm Daily, Robert Takvam, discontinues delivery; Legion hosts Midnite Frolic New Year’s Dance commencing at 12:01 a.m.; town has $178 yearly surplus and paid off $12,000 deficit; hospital looks at getting an expert radiologist to read X-rays one day per week rather than drive to Winnipeg; Carman Auto Body is the outlet for Joe’s Taxi; Sperling Garage is a Ford dealer; average daily patients in November is 35 and 4.8 babies.

50 Years ago, 1975…. 25 Years ago, 2000….. Alastair Kerr in 10th year selling Christmas trees; Co-op introduces Youth Membership Program; D & M’s Purex bathroom tissue $7.99/24 rolls; Carman Curling Club to host Senior Women’s Championships; Curl for Cancer raises $16,500; chair Linda McKinnon readies for Christmas Cheer time; Chicken Delight, MacKenzie Catering and Blight’s Carman all wish Happy New Year.
