Kahleigh’s Brew Barn defends Best Poutine title

Date:

Attention food lovers. It’s that time of year again. La Poutine Week has rolled around, and this celebration of Canada’s beloved dish is turning up the heat in kitchens nationwide. From February 1 to 7, restaurants are unleashing their culinary creativity with unique twists on poutine that will tantalize your taste buds.

One standout location making waves this week is Kahleigh’s Brew Barn in Riverton. They have crafted an irresistible creation called the ‘Sweet Home Manitoba’ poutine.

Their feature poutine is an elevated version of their Crispy Chicken Honey Dill Fries. These classic KBB McCain fries grown in Manitoba are topped with cheese curds, mozzarella cheese, warmed Manitoba-made honey dill sauce, crispy chicken, applewood smoked bacon crumble, and fresh dill.

This a dish you aren’t going to want to miss out on that promises flavours that celebrate local ingredients while pushing creative boundaries.

In 2024, Kahleigh’s Brew Barn earned impressive accolades—ranking No. 1 in Manitoba and landing an incredible No. 3 nationally.

With just a couple of days left to experience this mouth-watering delight, there’s no better time than now to dive into the deliciousness.

Customers are encouraged to vote for their poutine after their meal by visiting lapoutineweek.com. Create an account in one minute, find the restaurant you’re looking for and vote.

The Best Poutine Award is presented to the top restaurant in each region that wins the title. The top five regional winners are selected by customer votes, and the final rankings are determined by a panel of three judges. The top five national winners are determined from the highest-ranked regional winners.

The Riverton restaurant is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
