Peguis RCMP have arrested two men after a string of violent break and enters left five people injured in Hodgson on Sept. 28.
At about 10:30 p.m., officers responded to three separate incidents on 3rd Avenue West where two males were reported to be kicking down doors, assaulting homeowners and damaging property.
Police said the suspects forced their way into two residences and attacked the occupants. They attempted to enter a third home but were unsuccessful.
In total, five people were assaulted. A 43-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from Hodgson were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while three others sustained minor injuries.
The suspects also caused extensive damage to homes, vehicles, windows and furniture, according to RCMP.
Both men were later located at a business on 1st Avenue West and arrested without incident.
Tyrell Sinclair, 25, and Eric Sinclair, 27, of Peguis were remanded in custody and face multiple charges, including:
• three counts of assault
• two counts of assault causing bodily harm
• three counts of break and enter while committing an offence
• five counts of mischief
Additionally, Tyrell Sinclair has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
Peguis RCMP continue to investigate.
