Brant-Argyle School students take part in a variety of creative skipping activities during last week’s Jump Rope for Heart event in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation

The school hosted its Jump Rope for Heart event on Thursday, Feb. 26, with students rotating through a variety of creative skipping stations set up in the gym. Kindergarten to Grade 4 students took part first, followed by their peers in grades 5 to 8.

Students and staff showcased plenty of imagination in how they used their ropes — from single and double skipping to limbo challenges and even a large-group effort that saw 22 participants jumping together at once.

Throughout February, students learned about heart health and the importance of staying active while raising funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Donations can be made online at jumpropeforheart.crowdchange.ca. The link will remain active for two weeks following the event for those wishing to contribute.
