Friendly Flames

Date:

On Saturday, chefs Colin Fehr (left) and Ryan Wiebe squared off for the first annual Friendly Flames barbecue to see which city—Winkler or Morden—gets bragging rights for the best ribs.

Wiebe, from Morden, won the day with his sauce using Blumstein brews, but the real winner was the Pembina Valley Humane Society, which hosted the cook-off. The evening raised $14,600 for the regional animal shelter.
