People gathered outside the Morden Civic Centre to enjoy a student choir from École Morden Middle School, fixings for s’mores handed out by Morden Christmas Cheer, bonfires overseen by Morden firefighters, greetings from Mayor Nancy Penner and Morden-Winkler MLA Carrie Hiebert, and a countdown to the flipping of the switch that lit up the Christmas tree.

The night wrapped up with fireworks.
