Thank you Packers!

Date:

Kelly Lewis, the owner of Packers Women’s Fashions, presented Wendy McLeary of the Selkirk and District Breast Cancer Support Group with a cheque for $500 from the local business’s annual FDJ Fundraiser. To bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lewis runs this fundraiser every October. When residents try on French Dressing Jeans, she keeps track, and for every person who gives the jeans a try, no purchase needed, she donates a dollar to the Selkirk and District Breast Cancer Support Group and often tops the donation up at the end of the month. Lewis has been a great support to this group, finding various ways to help members for more than 20 years. If you or someone you know would benefit from attending this support group for people going through treatment or who have come out the other side of breast cancer, you can contact McLeary at 1-204-785-2456 for more information about their monthly meetings and other support options.
