The Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge runs from Nov. 10 to 16, giving Manitobans the chance to stretch their generosity even further.
The province-wide campaign encourages donors to give to their local community foundation’s unrestricted or community funds, which helps to grow endowments that provide annual grants to local charities, schools and community groups.
This week only, The Winnipeg Foundation and the provincial government stretch contributions made during the Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge up to a combined maximum of $4,000 per foundation.
“The Interlake Community Foundation is hoping that you will consider making a gift to one of our undesignated funds this week,” said executive director Tracy Holod.
“If we reach $10,000 in donations to our All Communities Fund or one of our other unrestricted funds, we are eligible in $4,000 in matching gifts from Endow Manitoba and the Manitoba government. Our unrestricted funds are a huge source of income for our Community Granting Program.”
There are several ways to make a gift during the challenge:
• Visit www.interlakefoundation.ca and click “DONATE NOW” to donate securely with a credit card. Online donations will be processed and receipted by The Winnipeg Foundation.
• Make your donation in person by cash, cheque or credit card at the Interlake Community Foundation office on the top floor of the town hall at 293 Main St. in Stonewall from 9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
• E-transfer your donation to info@interlakefoundation.ca. Please include your mailing address, email address and phone number.
• Call Interlake Community Foundation at 204-467-5634 to arrange for them to pick up your donation.
• Donors also had the chance to attend ICF’s open house on Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 293 Main St. The event included coffee and dainties.
