Wildcats take silver at Vincent Massey volleyball tournament

The Warren Collegiate Institute varsity girls’ volleyball team turned in an impressive performance at the Vincent Massey tournament in Brandon, finishing second overall.

The Wildcats advanced to the final against the host Vincent Massey Vikings — a AAAA-level team — where they fell 25-18 and 25-16 to take silver.

Earlier in the tournament, Warren earned wins over several strong opponents. They defeated Oak Park 25-10, dropped the second set 28-26, and bounced back to win 15-12. They also posted straight-set victories over Jeanne-Sauvé (25-22, 25-21), Carberry (25-7, 25-16), Stonewall (25-22, 25-14) and River East (26-24, 25-17).
