Sabres earn home win in MWHSHL West play

The Sanford Sabres picked up a 3–1 home win over the Sturgeon Heights Huskies in Manitoba Women’s High School Hockey League West Division action on Monday, Dec. 8.

Sanford scored twice in the opening period on goals from Liza Bestland and Kingsley Rodewald before Hayden Manness added an insurance marker in the third.

The Sabres sit second in the MWHSHL West standings with an 11–4 record through 15 games.

Sanford returns to the ice Monday, Dec. 15 at 3:30 p.m. when they host Oak Park, followed by a Thursday, Dec. 18 road game at John Taylor at 4 p.m.
