Sabres earn road win in WHSHL

The Sanford Sabres picked up a 3–1 road victory over CPET in Winnipeg High School Hockey League Winnipeg Free Press Division action on Monday, Dec. 8.

Cooper Rodewald scored twice for Sanford, including a shorthanded goal late in the third period, while Austin Iliffe added an empty-netter to seal the win.

The Sabres sit eighth in the WHSHL Free Press Division standings with a 6–6 record through 12 games.

Sanford is back on the road Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. against Gabrielle-Roy, followed by a Thursday, Dec. 18 matchup at J.H. Bruns at 4:30 p.m.
