Fisher Branch opened the tournament with a narrow 54-52 victory over the host Ste. Rose Celtics before falling 75-36 to the Elm Creek Cobras in round-robin play. The Cougars bounced back in the bronze medal game, defeating the Rivers Rams 55-51 to secure their place on the podium.

Competing against top teams from across Manitoba, Fisher Branch put together a strong showing throughout the tournament. The bronze-medal finish highlights the team’s growth, determination and commitment over the course of the season.

Individual accolades also followed for Fisher Branch. Sky Miranda was named a Provincial All-Star and received the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Players Choice Award — an honour voted on by fellow competitors and presented to the athlete who best demonstrates leadership and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The team is coached by Sam Janower.

With a solid core of players and a successful provincial performance, Fisher Branch Collegiate closes out the season on a high note while building momentum for the future.
