The curling community celebrated Team Buchalter of the West St. Paul Curling Club at a send-off event on Sunday, Jan. 25. After winning the 2026 Asham U18 Manitoba Provincial Junior Championships, the team is heading to Timmins, Ont., to represent Manitoba at the National Championships from Feb. 8 to 14. The fundraiser, held at the curling club, featured food, a silent auction, a 50/50 draw and a guest appearance from a young bagpiper who piped the team in to the celebration.
