Community celebrates Fire Prevention Week in Teulon

Date:

In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, the Teulon-Rockwood Fire Department hosted its annual open house last Sunday. Sparky the Fire Dog and firefighters demonstrated lifesaving equipment and answered questions about the department’s services. Guests enjoyed rides in a fire truck and the crew’s famous French fries and hot dogs. Pictured left to right, clockwise from top: Joan Trombo, Sparky and Shirley Stewart share their fries; firefighter Wyatt Hancox oversees Ezra Emms as he operates the Jaws of Life; brothers Levi and Jacob Kroeker dress in the turnout gear worn by their dad, Nolan, on emergency calls; Matt Halldorson gets help in the driver’s seat from his daughter Abby; firefighter Amy Hugill helps herself to fries; Kellan Good with his dad, Captain Curtis Good; and Lauren Podaima checks out the driver’s seat in a fire rescue truck.
