Meadow Lea quiz night returns

Date:

The Meadow Lea Community Club hosted the return of its quiz night on Jan. 17, marking the first time the event has been held since 2016. Seventeen teams took part in the friendly competition, dubbed Brains & Beers, with quizmasters Payton Janke and Hunter Sholdice leading a wide-ranging slate of trivia questions covering pop culture, farming, sports and other obscure facts. Volunteers staffed the bar and canteen throughout the evening to keep participants fuelled. In the door prize draw, Nick Ferens won tickets to an upcoming Winnipeg Jets game, while Cory Graham took home a $100 Co-op gift card. The winning team earned the event’s trophy, along with bottles of wine for each teammate and a shared gift basket.
