The Warren Mercs erupted offensively on home ice, scoring four times in the first period and never looking back in a 10–4 win over the Carman Beavers in SEMHL action.
Warren took control early on special teams. Braydon MacDonald opened the scoring on a power play at 7:50, followed by even-strength markers from Dasek Sobkow and Patrick D’Amico just 10 seconds apart. Stephen Kleysen added another power-play goal at 17:42 to send the Mercs into the intermission up 4–0.
Carman showed pushback in the second, cutting the deficit to 4–3 with goals from Brock Wood, Dean Gorchynski and Mikol Sartor in an eight-minute span. But Warren steadied the game and reclaimed the momentum in the third.
Just three minutes into the final frame, Eric Swanson buried the eventual game-winner to restore a two-goal cushion. From there, the Mercs exploded for five more: Gianluca Esteves at 3:59, D’Amico at 8:00, Kleysen with his second at 11:16, Darrin Husak at 16:56 and Johnny Lazo at 18:02.
Esteves finished the night with a goal and four assists, while D’Amico, Kleysen, MacDonald and Drake Lindsay all delivered multi-point performances. Goaltender Evan Baty stopped 30 shots for the win.
Warren looks to keep rolling when they host the Springfield 98’s on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.
