Prairie Green Landfill update

Date:

Manitoba RCMP have confirmed that human remains discovered in the Prairie Green Landfill have been identified as belonging to Marcedes Myran of Long Plain First Nation.

Her family has been notified, and the Manitoba government is asking for privacy to be respected during this difficult time.

Marcedes Myran’s remains were located as part of a humanitarian search and recovery mission initiated by the Manitoba government at the request of the families of both Myran and Morgan Harris. This mission is being conducted in collaboration with the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and has the support of the federal government.

Myran’s remains were one of two sets found during the search; the other set was identified as those of Morgan Harris earlier in March.
