The Stonewall Skating Club presented its annual ice show on March 12, delighting the audience with this year’s theme, Skating Through the Decades.

The Intermediate STARSkate group turned back the clock to the 1980s and skated to Manic Monday by the Bangles at their year end ice show on March 12






Each group of skaters brought a different era to life on the ice, taking spectators on a journey through time with music and performances representing various decades.
Throughout the season, skaters dedicated many hours to refining their skills and preparing for the year-end finale. The show served as a celebration of their hard work, perseverance and passion for the sport.
Each CanSkate group, along with the Intermediate STAR and Junior STAR groups, performed routines set to music from a specific year. Senior skaters also showcased their talents with individual performances. The evening featured synchronized routines from the Intrepid Synchro Team, Summit Synchro Team and the Revival Synchro Team, all of which include local skaters.
Several awards were also presented during the event. Hayden Young was named Intermediate STARSkater of the Year, while Boone Andrew received the CanSkater of the Year award. Hayley Muir was recognized as Adult Skater of the Year, and Mahlani Olson was named Junior STARSkater of the Year. Lacey Learning earned the STARSkater of the Year honour, and Gaia Turner received the Program Assistant of the Year award.
The club also expressed its appreciation for its dedicated group of coaches, who were recognized for their commitment and support throughout the season. Each coach brings unique skills, expertise and mentorship to the ice, helping guide skaters during every session.
