Sundog over Stonewall

A sundog appears above a Ventura construction crane in Stonewall on a cold morning last Friday. Sundogs are bright spots that appear beside the sun when light is refracted by ice crystals in the atmosphere. Temperatures dipped to –21 C, with the wind making it feel like –27.
