The Town of Teulon will have some assistance with bylaw enforcement when needed.

The Town of Teulon is purchasing four double-sided message signs, which will feature an updated map of the trail system
Teulon’s CAO signed a bylaw enforcement services agreement with the RM of Rockwood. Rockwood will provide personnel to perform bylaw enforcement services, not including animal control services, in Teulon for a term that will end on Jan. 1, 2027.
The CAO also signed a bylaw enforcement services agreement with the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires to provide bylaw enforcement on an as-needed basis, including animal control services, from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
“The Town of Teulon staff are taking on the basic bylaw enforcement tasks for 2026,” said CAO Chris Yuen. “We have signed agreements to use the RM of Rockwood and Commissionaires for non-basic bylaw enforcement on an as-need basis.”

• Council approved a $10,090 quote from Barco Products Canada for four double-sided message centre signs. The signs are resistant to weather, bugs, UV and moisture.
“The four double-sided message centre signs will have one side of the sign containing an updated map of the trail system,” Yuen said. “The signs could be ready by middle of May.”
• Council submitted a grant application to Manitoba Water Services Board for technical and financial assistance for a phased CCTV inspection and cleaning of wastewater sewer mains and the rehabilitation of a manhole.
• Council approved Teulon’s participation in AlertMB, Manitoba’s public alerting system. CAO Chris Yuen will be the authorized call-in issuer after he completes training and other requirements.
“AlertMB issues alerts using the National Public Alerting System, more commonly known as Alert Ready,” Yuen said. “The Alert app should be ready to be downloaded from the android or Apple app store in the next week or two.”
Alerts issued through AlertMB differ from other mass notification systems since they are not an opt-in or subscription-based system. Instead, alerts are broadcast without prior registration. Critical emergency alerts also interrupt radio, television and digital displays to deliver urgent messages, which ensures widespread and immediate notification.
• Mayor Todd Campbell and CAO Yuen are authorized to attend the Association of Manitoba Municipalities’ mayor, reeves and CAO meeting in Brandon on April 21. Expenses will be paid. The mayor, CAO and council are authorized to attend the AMM conference from April 21 to 23 with expenses paid.
