Night of Lights

Date:

The Town of Altona launched the Christmas season with their annual Night of Lights event on Nov. 29. The evening included horse and sleigh rides, a free wiener roast, free hot chocolate and cookies, music by local school holiday band ensembles, and, of course, a visit from Jolly Old Saint Nick.

Visiting Santa Claus was a new experience for six-month-old Mekeila Fababeir.

The free wiener roast at the Altona Civic Centre kept carolers warm and fed during the official tree lighting and fireworks.

A group of Christmas lovers braved the cold to enjoy a hay ride around Altona.

Newlyweds Toby Penner and Jessica Shearer posed for festive photos in the snowman frame.
