Joel Hofer was back at it last Tuesday with yet another shutout for the St. Louis Blues.
Hofer turned aside 33 shots as the Blues downed the Carolina Hurricanes, 3-0, at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO.
It’s the fourth time this season and the sixth in Hofer’s National Hockey League career that he’s posted a shutout.
The 25-year-old with ties to the New Haven Colony and Keystone Colony moved into a share of first in NHL shutouts this season with Tuesday’s performance.
Blues forwards Dalibor Dvorsky, Jimmy Snuggerud, and Nick Bjugstad provided the game’s offence with a trio of second period goals.
The club improved to 18-21-8 to sit seventh in the NHL’s Central Division with 44 points.
Hofer has appeared in 25 of those games, steadily increasing his numbers along the way.
He currently boasts a 10-9-2 record, an 2.81 goals against average, and a .902 save percentage on the campaign.
