The Stony Mountain Métis Local hosted a Truth and Reconciliation Orange Shirt Day event on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Stony Mountain Rec Centre. The sold-out event featured the Norman Chief Memorial Dancers, a meal by Danny’s Whole Hog and toe-tapping music by Jason Appleyard and the Country Pride Band. The younger generation in attendance included (left to right) Harmony McMahon, Brantley Appleyard, Willow Appleyard, Aria Appleyard and Addie Relf.
