The Riverton Classic Ice Fishing Derby, held on Feb. 17, raised $16,000 to be split between the Riverton Transportation & Heritage Centre (RTHC) and Riverton Minor Hockey (RMH). Wayne Furgala, a derby committee member, presented a cheque for $8,000 to Linda Wonton, a member of the RTHC. The funds will be directed toward maintenance and repairs.
