Flag of Humanity in India

Date:

Gimli resident Bruce Benson travelled to India last month with his Flag of Humanity to spread the message of human unity.

Benson visited the Golden Temple, a religious site in Amritsar, in the Punjab region, where he picked up trash and met local residents.

The flag’s mantra is to celebrate the commonality of being human regardless of religion, skin colour, nationality or politics.

For about two decades, Benson has taken his flag to places such as Israel, Egypt, China, Thailand and America.

In the spring, Benson’s Flag of Humanity Foundation delivered its message of unity and a monetary donation of $3,000 to a school in Poza Verde, Guatemala.
