A day in the trenches

Date:

A battle re-enactment was a highlight of the annual Day in the Trenches Sunday afternoon at the Manitoba World War One Museum west of La Riviere.

A contingent of volunteers dressed in period appropriate outfits led more than 300 visitors through a number of stations that touched on a variety of aspects of weaponry, tactics, and more.

Visitors were also invited to check out the displays of local war artifacts in the small museum on site.
