A 27-year-old man from the RM of Woodlands has died following a single-vehicle rollover south of Westbourne.
Portage la Prairie RCMP say officers were called to the crash just after 7:15 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 16, where they found a heavily damaged vehicle in the north ditch. The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the vehicle had been travelling northbound at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway at a curve.
The investigation continues with assistance from an RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist.
