St. Laurent School hosting Haunted Trail fundraiser

Date:

Things are getting spooky for St. Laurent School as they prepare to open their Haunted Trail this October.

On Oct. 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 starting at 6 p.m., students and parents will become the haunted hosts for a limited-time feature Halloween walk.

Their Haunted Trail is located at 392 Governor Rd. and is open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays and until 9 p.m. on Sundays.

“Get ready for a good time,” said Vicki Leggett, leading teacher for the 2027 travel group. “We are already getting compliments that we are just as good as some of the other Halloween attractions out there.”

Visitors of all-ages are welcome on their Haunted Trail and can expect to be spooked by volunteers as they trek through an eerie forest, ghoulish displays and frightening graveyards. Leggett noted all volunteers will be informed if a young guest is entering the trail, hoping for a safe and enjoyable experience by all.

Once through, a variety of snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the canteen.

All proceeds –– including the $10 entry fee for anyone over nine and $5 for those under –– will support the upcoming graduates and next year’s school trip to Paris, Rome, Florence and Capri. They are looking to raise $1,000 each night of the Haunted Trail to help offset the costs.
