Lundar man wins $62,680 in Eriksdale fundraiser

A lucky Lundar resident is $62,680 richer after finding the queen of hearts during Eriksdale’s Capture the Queen of Hearts fundraiser on Sept. 25.

With only seven cards remaining, Landon Lamoureux successfully uncovered the winning card, ending the 47-week-long game.

A new season of Capture the Queen of Hearts will begin Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Eriksdale Recreation Centre Curling Lounge. Proceeds are shared among eight local organizations.

Tickets are $2 each or three for $5, with sales open until 8 p.m. The draw takes place at 8:15 p.m. alongside the 50/50. More details are available on the Eriksdale Capture the Queen of Hearts Facebook group.
