One airlifted after Highway 67 head-on collision

STARS air ambulance transported one person to hospital following a collision last week on Highway 67. 

On Oct. 7 at 9:15 p.m., Stonewall RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 67,at the intersection of Road 5E in the RM of Rockwood.

Officers arrived on scene and observed two vehicles facing south on the south shoulder of Highway 67. One vehicle had been travelling west and the other one had been travelling east on Highway 67. 

The eastbound vehicle was allegedly seen drifting into the westbound lane. The westbound vehicle attempted to avoid the vehicle but they collided head-on.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 19-year-old male from the RM of Rockwood, was not injured.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle, an 18-year-old female from the RM of Rockwood, was transported to hospital via Stars with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Stonewall RCMP continue to investigate.
