Morris RCMP are investigating an incident involving a suspected arson to an area business.

On Oct. 10 at 2:40 a.m., Morris RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at a property on Road 6W in the RM of Morris. The property owner indicated someone had drove a front-end loader through the front door.

Police responded immediately and upon entering the building, officers noted a strong odour of diesel fuel and observed jerry cans, filled with diesel, on pallets loaded on to a forklift.

Upon closer inspection of the area, it appeared someone had tried to light the building on fire but was unsuccessful.

Morris RCMP are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident to please contact the Morris detachment at +1-204-746-2323 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
