The Altona Angels softball program was the beneficiary of the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookies campaign this week.
Players spent Sunday afternoon decorating cookies at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre in preparation for their delivery throughout the community. A total of 381 dozen cookies were pre-sold, raising $9,144, which will be split between the Angels and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
The Angels will use their portion of the proceeds on softball diamond improvements and equipment upgrades.
