Wildcats roll to two straight WHSHL hockey victories

The Warren Wildcats opened their week with back-to-back wins in Winnipeg High School Hockey League Price Division.

Warren defeated Kildonan East 7-2 on Nov. 17, powered by a four-goal first period. Lee Hearn scored twice in the opening frame, while Kaelen Ivany, Rhet King and Layne Noren added singles. Noren added another on a second-period power play, and Sawyer Park capped the scoring early in the third.

On Nov. 20, Warren edged Linden Christian 2-1. Lexon Hogg scored midway through the first, and with the game tied late in the third, Noren buried the winner at 17:36 off a feed from Ivany and Hearn.

The Wildcats host Lorette on Monday, Nov. 24 at 4:30 p.m. before travelling to Pinawa on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
