Cruisin’ Gimli Beach Car Show rolls into town July 13

Date:

Chrome will shine and engines will roar as car lovers gather for the annual Cruisin’ Gimli Beach Car Show on Saturday, July 13.

Hosted by the Gimli Car Club, the popular Show & Shine event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sobeys parking lot in Gimli. Registration is $10 per vehicle, and participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or make a cash donation in support of Evergreen Basic Needs.

Dash plaques will be handed out to the first 400 registered cars, and a walking poker run will add a fun twist to the day’s festivities.

Now in conjunction with the national Collector Car Appreciation Day, the show also marks the 15th annual celebration of the day in Canada, recognizing the cultural and historical significance of classic cars and the people who preserve them.

Organizers say the event draws hundreds of vehicles from across the region, with everything from vintage rides to muscle cars lining the streets near the waterfront.
