Herb presentation for culinary and garden enthusiasts

Date:

Dave Hanson of Sage Garden Greenhouse presents to members of the South Interlake Garden Club at the Warren Memorial Hall on Feb. 26, where 29 culinary and garden enthusiasts learned about herb varieties, growing conditions, seed starting versus direct sowing, soil types, sun and shade requirements, and overall plant care. Participants were invited to “scratch and sniff” fresh herb samples and each took home a cutting from a large Jamaican thyme (broadleaf thyme) mother plant to pot and grow themselves.
