Daniel James Martin was a Selkirk artist. Our local MLA Richard Perchotte comissioned hundreds of pieces of Martin’s artwork during his lifetime and wanted to share some of the stunning work with his colleagues at the Manitoba Legislature. After offering up a piece of art to any MLA who wanted one, Perchotte was able to spread the joy of Martin’s work far and wide in our province. Heres a small selection of the MLAs who were able to take home a one of a kind Daniel James Martin piece.
