Mapleton School making an Earth Day difference

Date:

Students in Ms. Wedel’s Grade 3/4 class at Mapleton School marked Earth Day on April 22 by heading outdoors to collect garbage from the ditches surrounding their school, demonstrating what it means to be responsible eco-citizens. “It’s important we pick up garbage to keep Mother Earth Clean,” one of the students, Lincoln, said. “We want to keep the earth healthy,” fellow student Levi added. Students were eager to get outside and take part in the cleanup, showing enthusiasm and a shared commitment to caring for the environment.
