Local ministries are teaming up to provide a glimpse into their work around the world next week.
Sixteen13 Ministry, Mission Eurasia, and Wycliffe Bible Translators are hosting a public event at the Meridian Exhibition Centre in Winkler on Saturday, May 16.
“The topic is about what God is doing in Ukrainian and in the Philippines,” shares Harold Espinosa of Sixteen13, noting on hand to provide a firsthand look at the conditions on the ground in Ukraine will be Mykhailo Brytsyn, a leader in religious freedom advocacy with Mission Eurasia.
Mission Eurasia was involved with distributing the shipping container full of food and clothing sent to Ukraine from Winkler a few months ago by Faith Missions, Southman Gleaners, and Sixteen13 Ministry.
Brytsyn will be speaking from 3-5 p.m. in a presentation that will be in both English and Ukrainian.
The second speaker is Nard Pugyao, a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines. Pugyao has dedicated over 46 years to Bible translation and mission aviation.
He will take the stage from 6:30-8:30 p.m. His presentation will be in English and Tagalog.
“It’s going to be a powerful message,” Espinosa says.
All are welcome to attend. There is no admission fee. Sixteen13 will have its food truck on site selling burgers, hot dogs, and other snacks for supper.
