Pembina Valley Tent Rentals invest in their future

Date:

After nine years in Carman, Pembina Valley Tent Rentals has expanded its operations by acquiring Norwood Tent and Awning in Winnipeg. Both businesses will continue to operate under the same ownership.

Pembina Valley Tent Rentals owners, Jack Gerbrandt, David Vega, and Kelly Gerbrandt, were very excited at the purchase of Norwood Tent and Awning, a similar company that has been manufacturing tents and awnings for 68 years.

For nearly a decade, Pembina Valley Tent Rentals has been the go-to source for event equipment in the southern Manitoba region. From intimate gatherings to grand weddings and lively festivals, our extensive inventory includes tents, dance floors, tables, chairs, and lighting to cater to all types of functions.

Throughout the years, the Pembina Valley Tent Rentals family has established their company as one of Manitoba’s top tent and event rental providers. This achievement was made possible through strong camaraderie, a dedicated work ethic, and a genuine drive to ensure the success of every outdoor event.

Kelly Gerbrandt, owner of Norwood Tent and Awning, expressed that their company has consistently chosen to work with Norwood due to their exceptional product quality and reputable business practices.

“Over the 68 years that Norwood has been in business, there have only been two sets of owners, which is a testament to the longevity of the business. When the opportunity arose to purchase Norwood, we felt it was a perfect fit to combine our tent rental experience with the manufacturing side. We aim to expand upon Norwoods previous successes and look to provide Manitoba and surrounding provinces with excellent craftsmanship, customer service, and expertise.”

Their new business, Norwood Tent and Awning, offers professional design, fabrication, repair, and installation services for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and northern Ontario. Combining modern technology with hand-crafted quality, they provide efficient, elegant, and long-lasting tents, commercial awnings, residential awnings, gazebos, canopies, signage products and more.

Since their takeover on Nov. 1, the ownership group has been managing the Norwood business. At present, they are running the companies independently and do not have any immediate intentions of altering this arrangement.
