Two killed in motorcycle collision near Highway 4

Two Winnipeg residents are dead following a motorcycle collision in the RM of St. Andrews on June 13.

According to Selkirk RCMP, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at approximately 1:14 p.m. at the intersection of Provincial Road 320 and the access road to Highway 4.

Police said a large group of motorcycles was travelling north on PR 320 and was turning west onto the Highway 4 access road when one of the motorcycles attempted to make the turn and was struck by a southbound pickup truck.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old man from Winnipeg, and his passenger, a 65-year-old woman from Winnipeg, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 26-year-old man from the RM of St. Andrews, was not injured.

Selkirk RCMP and Manitoba RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate the collision.
