Elm Creek plans fun Canada Day festivities for July 1

Date:

Elm Creek’s Canada Day festivities on July 1 is a full-on family day of fun that just gets better each and every year.

The day will start with a free pancake breakfast, followed by a bike decorating contest for the kids. The town parade is always a highlight of the day and this year, the committee is excited to have Big Roy, a one of a kind 30.5-foot-long Versatile tractor as a special entry as well as on display throughout the day.

The parade up will be followed up with a car/truck/tractor show and a BBQ lunch. The afternoon activities include a free petting zoo, pony rides, facepainting, kids train, photobooth, bouncy castles, 4-H beef club show, children’s entertainer, and a skills competition with entry fees and donations going to the Carman Wellness Connections charity.

The afternoon concludes with a supper of free pizza, French fries, and mini doughnuts, with a truck and tractor pull and an amazing fireworks display to round out the evening.
