Film work took place in the RM of Rockwood last week for the production of the movie The Long Walk.
Drivers faced stop-and go traffic on Thursday, Aug. 1 on Provincial Road 236 at Road 83N, as well as intermittent traffic control along Road 83N from Provincial Road 236 to Road 5E.
Then on Friday, Aug. 2, Provincial Road 323 Argyle from Road 1E to Meridian Road was closed, with local access only.
According to IMDb, The Long Walk is an adaptation of a dystopian novel by Stephen King (written under his pseudonym Richard Bachman). The plot focuses on contestants of a gruelling annual walking contest.
The cast includes Judy Greer and Mark Hamill.
Filming will also be taking place at Birds Hill Provincial Park and around St. Lazare and La Riviere.
