New name, brand for Altona economic development organization

Date:

Altona and Rhineland’s economic development organization has officially rebranded, adopting a new name and visual identity to better reflect its mission.

Formerly known as Supporting Entrepreneurs through Economic Development (SEED), the organization is now Altona Rhineland Economic Development Inc. (ARED).

“We’re very excited about it,” said economic development officer Stephanie Harris. “We’ve been established since 2018 and felt it was time for a rebrand that better represents what we do. This is a great way to move forward.”

The change aims to strengthen ARED’s efforts in fostering business growth, attracting investment, and creating sustainable job opportunities in Altona and Rhineland.

“The new branding better describes what we do as an organization,” Harris explained. “The new logo better reflects the region we represent.  Altona is the sunflower capital, so we took the gold color from the Town of Altona logo and the green from the Municipality of Rhineland’s logo, which symbolizes the wheat fields, with the wheat pointed up to represent growth.”

Along with the name change, ARED has unveiled a redesigned website and an expanded digital presence. The website (ared-rpga.com) will serve as a resource hub for business owners, job seekers, and regional partners, offering information on programs, upcoming events, and economic growth opportunities.

“Our online presence is getting a complete refresh,” Harris said. “For the first time, we’re launching social media accounts. We will now have a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and X, which will allow us to better promote the work we do and highlight investment opportunities in the region.”

ARED’s mission remains the same: to serve as a hub for business development, workforce growth, and regional collaboration.

“We are reaffirming our commitment to fostering innovation, creating jobs, and building a sustainable economy for our community,” Harris said. “We look forward to continuing our work with local businesses, partners, and stakeholders to drive shared success.”
